Poetry Post: Soul Kissing

Lover dear
Kiss me like it’s the first time
Lean in hesitantly and slow.
Brush my lips with a tender touch
Colored white like snow.

There is something special
About the first kiss bestowed.
I’ve kissed you a thousand times
And my heart you know.

Now, Lover dear
Kiss me like it’s the last time
Full of passion and fire and need.
Pull me in, pressed up close to you
As if your heart might bleed.

Sometimes I need to feel the fire,
Sometimes just a reminder to know.
To kiss your lips is as close as I can be
To kissing and loving your soul.
